ericw Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 For sale, as is: Lachenal 48 key Concertina, with Rosewood ends, metal buttons, steel reeds and six fold bellows. When I purchased it in 1978 from Lark in the Morning, it had just been restored by Collin Dipper. Since 1980 it has been mostly in the box. I just had it evaluated by the Button Box. They said it was manufactured in 1884. The pads need replacing, also some valves and maybe some springs. The leather between the reed chambers needs replacing, as you get a stray note or two when playing. The bellows are good. It's basically a fine concertina, but needs some work to get it back into form. I am selling it because it doesn't deserve to sit in the closet anymore. I am asking $1200.00. If interested, please email me at ericwinzenburg@comcast.net, and I will send you more pictures and answer any other questions you might have.
