Tenth Charles Wheatstone Memorial Mornington Crescent Game - Slightly

Recommended Posts

I've taken the liberty of writing this up and sending it to Mornington Crescent World for publication, giving you full credit. I imagine the Letters page of the following issue will be well worth a read.

I understand that a Mrs Trellis of North Wales has sent in a letter.

Unfortunately, the letter was a French one and seemed to say something about a child being kidnapped by a knight. She said to go to l':

Elephant and Castle

Maybe Mr Google mistranslated?

Another fragment of the letter has emerged. Apparantly the child is to be fed with 'un croissant du matin'. Actually it says taken to 'un croissant du matin', but that makes no sense at all. Who would name a place after a pastry?

Where can this be?

Don, your last post has proved to be really clever - sort of compulsing to the final move and ipso facto paralyzing every single player.

To end this standoff I'm playing

East India

since DLR has turned out to be a welcome wildcard in this year's game.

Don't forget Pudding Lane, close to the Monument, where the Great Fire started.

Edinburgh has Bread Street, a frequent move in the local game of Morningside Crescent.

Also, a Wheat Stone is, I assume, for grinding wheat to make bread.

That gives me the opportunity to move to

Pudding Mill Lane

also on the DLR.

I suspect that the end of the game is quite close, but I'll be out of contact for a few days.

I hope that the game will have come to a glorious conclusion by the time I next login.
