Pete Dunk Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 A core repertoire of thirty two excellent hornpipes published in the early 19th century and recently transcribed to ABC by me have now been error checked and released into the wild.Blackman's Hornpipes.
Chris Drinkwater Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Thank you Peter. A nice selection there, including versions of some well-known ones that get played in current sessions. Chris
Pete Dunk Posted April 11, 2015 Author Posted April 11, 2015 The thing that struck me was the popularity that these tunes, published around two hundred years ago, still have today. The folk process has changed them slightly but they are today much as they were then and the popularity has diminished not one jot. That's the tradition for you!
