bellowbelle
Thanks, Jim and Tootler. I've got the song much more in my head now, too, so maybe 'take 2' will be better. I do play a lot more by sightreading now, more than I used to, because I worked on that -- but no matter how much I do that, I've got to have a good play-by-ear memory of the tune in my head before it starts to sound like anything. shelly0312
The foot bass definitely adds something. ....Talk about multi-tasking!!!...
Susanne
Too bad I didn't see this earlier, my husband plays this a lot on the melodeon, and I've almost learned it on the concertina.

DaveM
https://soundcloud.com/mapadofu/metsakkukia Here's my take -- decided to get while the gettings good and not repeat the C section.
Jim Besser
https://soundcloud.com/mapadofu/metsakkukia Here's my take -- decided to get while the gettings good and not repeat the C section. Very pretty! Very steady and deliberate playing. What's your instrument?
DaveM
Thanks Jim. I have a Lachenal English (refurbished by Greg J.). I almost always record (any play even) to a click, so it'd be hard to loose the tempo.
Tootler
https://soundcloud.com/mapadofu/metsakkukia Here's my take -- decided to get while the gettings good and not repeat the C section. Yes, very nice. I noticed in most of the Finnish accordion versions I viewed, they didn't repeat the C the last time through but went back to the A and finished there. I did the same in my version
