Konzertina-123
Here is an attempt by me to play a classical organ piece of the French 18th century (several variations of it exist, most notably by Louis-Claude Daquin and Claude Balbastre)...with an English concertina. Please share your thoughts about it. Noel X d'Aquin au concertina.mp3
Geoff Wooff
This is very ambitious and delightfull playing Peter..... unfortunately the recording has a few problems, perhaps a 'hall' effect or reverberation caused by the space you have recorded in ? Tell us more and record more ,please!. Geoff.
Rod
I detect no particular reverberation. Much organ music is played in places of worship where echo and reverberation is so often very much part of the overall effect. If there were any reverberation in this performance it would therefore not be entirely inappropriate. What I do detect is more than a touch of virtuosity. Konzertina-123
Thank you for your comments. Here is another try, still with organ music, but of a slightly different style. I challenge you to recognise any of the pieces played. pot pourri.mp3
Wolf Molkentin
Très jolie Peter, particulièrement la première suite! As to the second, for a moment I had the impression of hearing Ein Jäger Aus Kurpfalz, but I guess that's not it... Au revoir - Wolf
Steve Wilson
Very nice Peter, thanks for posting. I've enjoyed all of the little I've heard of your playing since first seeing this.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL2t9z9rzQQ Is this a different concertina you're playing this time? Konzertina-123
Thank you for your post. It is indeed a different instrument (Wheatstone 32008), whereas the Aeola on the video belongs to C.net user "conzertino".

Mike Franch
Wow! I'm tempted to play this for an organist friend and ask him what he thinks of this organist I discovered! I still continue to be amazed at what some members of this community can do, and what the EC can do. I think the 19th century proponents in "serious" music on the concertina would be pleased. Konzertina-123
If your organist friend doubts, you can show him the real thing : https://db.tt/hZcazeNA
Jody Kruskal
Wow! Zest, grace, humor, amazing playing. The only drawback is the poor quality of the mp3s you are offering. I would gladly download a larger file to get a better quality sound. 1.77mb is a very friendly size but five times that would actually let me hear what you are up to. Wolf Molkentin
Let's say "upload", and it makes a good suggestion (Jody, had attempted to PM you without success before).
