Loikroh
Following on from a very good suggestion from Steve Wilson I've spent an interesting afternoon setting up a Soundcloud page. Being a technology dinosaur, I had no idea what Soundcloud was - isn't it brilliant! When I get a decent mic sorted out I will post some new stuff. I've chosen this track as a test because, of all the varied music I've recorded, this is the piece I'm probably still the most pleased with and still play https://soundcloud.com/mart-bradley/handlel-triomp3 Played on Wheatstone Aeola no 26068 - anyone have an idea as to the date of this? hope the link actually works! cheers Mart

Geoff Wooff
Lovely stuff Mart !! You can find out the age of your concertina from the link that Graham gives then look for the Ledger for 1910-1923... you'll find your concertina in there. Geoff. Wolf Molkentin
Hi Mart, albeit personally rather being into discovering the EC's soloing capacities I really like this taking the recorder part (in that competent and tasteful trumpet-like manner). Always loved this piece (which I seem to recall rather as an organ concerto).SC is great (albeit sadly worsened over the course of this year by a stupid business policy), you get lots of feed-back...If you like, here's one recording of a - commonly falsely attributed - nice little "Bach" tune...:Minuet Looking forward to listening to more stuff from your side....!Best wishes - Wolf Edited December 4, 2014 by blue eyed sailor

Wolf Molkentin
Wolf, What's the soundcloud "stupid business policy"? I've been rather late with seriously getting involved into SC, so one serious step, obviously downward, I've learned about only by very common complaints within the community, seemed to be about sharing. Just as I was really into listening, commenting and replying, SC had cut me off through replacing a great mobile version with a very restricted, fashionable advertising and easy-listening "one-thumb" tool. Next was an apparent infection of the main site, mainly optically but more and more getting corrupted too... Already lost a good deal of communication by that... Loikroh
Hi, Daniel - yes, it's me - still attempting to get the music right as you will see from the practice videos on the Round Midnight thread!! Just joined so enjoying getting to know everyone now retirement gives me the time - yayyy! Thanks for your comments, Wolf - and I love the minuet on English. I've always used the box as a solo instrument as one would a flute, violin or sax, especially with playing jazz so it's great to hear someone playing totally solo and including the harmonising chords - a path I've never ventured down. I'm currently doing some playing with a jazz trio - piano, bass, drums, which is brilliant, although we do change some of the original keys - improvising in E flat is not really an option!!!! Some of the fingering in the Bach Bourree is pretty much a nightmare - any one else tried it? cheers Mart
