HansiRowe
Very interesting account of his exploits and a nice old Lachenal… buried in a trench after a shell exploded and still playing after it was dug out, concertinas must be tougher than we think! Rod
Of particular interest to me as my father enlisted Spring 1916 in Western Australia, ( 3rd Division Pioneer Battalion AIF )and endured all the horrors of Passchendaele etc. etc.up until the Armistice. No concertina in his kitbag however, but he survived to pen his memoirs.
