Concertina22 Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Listed for sale is a lachenal duet concertina. All notes seem to be playing well when buttons are pressed. However, Concertina would need minor refurbishment. Bellows appears to be airtight when pressed. Not really sure what duet concertinas are worth as I am an anglo concertina player myself. So open to offers and recommendations Thanks
MatthewVanitas Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 What country/continent are you on? Can you confirm the button count? What minor refurbishment do you reckon it may need?
Concertina22 Posted September 17, 2014 Author Posted September 17, 2014 21 buttons on the left side. 25 buttons on the right side. Concertina is located in ireland. Needs new handle straps. Concertina appears in tune, but has not been played in 10 years.
JimLucas Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 21 buttons on the left side. 25 buttons on the right side. Concertina is located in ireland. Needs new handle straps. Concertina appears in tune, but has not been played in 10 years. Looks like a standard 46-button Maccann duet. Not something we're used to seeing played in Ireland, so it may be a bit off topic -- not particularly relevant to the sale itself, -- but I'm curious as to who played it and what sort of music they played on it. Can you tell us?
Concertina22 Posted September 18, 2014 Author Posted September 18, 2014 Can somebody please advise me what the value of this concertina is?
Concertina22 Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Lachenal-Macann-Duet-Concertina-/121448034248 I have listed this on ebay.
Dowright Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I am interested in bidding on your concertina, but I would need the serial number and knowing if it has brass or steel reeds. Other potential bidders my feel the same.
