Norman Chalmers?

Hello all,

 

Can anyone tell me anything about N.Chalmers' (Edinburgh, Jock Tamson's Bairns) current situation? I used to see him write for The List etc, but that stopped in 2011, apparently suddenly.

 

I'm not talking personal info - just is he still around the music scene? Is he still playing?

I did get a kindly message from someone, which was gratefully received. It wasn't definitive, so thanks in advance to anyone who can say more.

You might want to post the question over on Mudcat http://mudcat.org/ which seems to be quite a good place to get answers to this sort of question - especially when the question is sensitively phrased in the way in which you have done.

I haven't seen Norman (who lent me his flat in Edinburgh one time) in much too long, but Googling his name I found recent photos of him in a production of A Christmas Carol with Mike Maran: http://www.mikemaran.com/christmas-photos.html

 

And though he's not very active on it, he also has a facebook page that gives his new (as of 1st March 2013) Edinburgh address and phone numbers.

Thanks to those who helped, and I followed up. Norman did have a bit of an illness but it's now sorted. I was a bit concerned at an apparent silence.
