David Barnert Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 I wonder how many of us play Hammered Dulcimer (I do). I know this thread is the wrong place to ask and expect an answer. One of my favorite recordings from the 80s was "Red Plum Jam," which featured a guy who played HD and EC.
Pete Dunk Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I wonder how many of us play Hammered Dulcimer (I do). Well I own a hammered dulcimer that I made myself under expert tuition 25 years ago but I never got to grips with it, a great shame to be honest.

John Wild Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Too many strings to tune - my patience would be challenged
brandon Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Phew! I finally got it together enough to post All of Me. This is played with one of the "gypsy guitar" backing tracks from Youtube mentioned by Tona earlier in this thread. I really like the mellow versions of this tune, but found myself having more fun playing the upbeat version. The whole notion of improvisation is new to me and is pretty exhilarating! https://soundcloud.com/burro_tuerco/all-of-me

brandon Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Thanks! Jim, I was trying to figure out what you meant by 'turnaround' and think I figured it out. Do you mean the part where it started to fall to pieces but got sort of reeled back in?
