maccannic
Interesting that so many appear to be playing with their eyes closed. This is very tempting on the concertina, because it avoids distractions and you couldn't see the buttons anyway, even if you wanted to. I try to force myself to keep my eyes open when I'm playing to or with other people, because I think it creates a better impression.
ceemonster
these are just so nifty. the one year i tried at the ww recitals i had dismal results. you just have to love that big italian or german one that Josephine's got!
Peter Laban
you just have to love that big italian or german one that Josephine's got!Josephine and Angela Crotty did a duet on the wheezy old things, the Dwyer concertina one of them. As they said: you have to be fit to play them. Edited July 14, 2014 by Peter Laban
John Moran
Many thanks Peter for the great photographs. I believe that Jacqui got a new Dipper recently. John
Peter Laban
She did, I asked her about it on saturday and she said she got it a few months ago. I believe she said it's a John Dipper. And, combining previous posts about large concertinas and new concertinas, Cormac Begley was playing a recently acquired bass concertina: Edited July 14, 2014 by Peter Laban
Frank Edgley
I just got back from Ireland a couple of weeks ago. I met with Chris Droney and his wife Margaret, as well as Francis Cunningham, and Stephen Chambers. It was wonderful to see Chris and Margaret looking so good, and Chris still playing great! He will be 90 in December!
