Just Me Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Hello. I am new to the forums, so please excuse any errors. Following full restoration I would like to sell my late mother's concertina, identified by an expert as a Chidley English Treble c 1870, 5 fold bellows with Chidley papers. Rosewood ends. Steel reeds, bone buttons, bushed. Recently service and tuned to concert pitch. In a Wheatstone box. Sadly I do not play, and my fingers are too arthritic to take it up. Photos to follow.
Just Me Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 The colours are not very good. The bellows papers are green.
d.elliott Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Hello, this concertina looks familiar, I bet it has my fingerprints all over it, Serial number 2242, re-padded, re-valved and tuned, new thumb straps etc.??? 1860's vintage I suspect. Dave
Just Me Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 Correct, Dave, this is the one you worked on for me, so a first rate job. Maybe I got the date wrong?
Just Me Posted October 28, 2014 Author Posted October 28, 2014 Still available for sale, for a short period longer, on this site. Donation to the site, on successful sale.
