Lukasz, what kind of switches did you use on your lego and 2nd generation prototypes.

I have some of the switches Terry shows above and they're not great.

As I pointed out before, it is very difficult to achieve a touch and response similar to a real concertina - even with conversions or real lever-action.

 

So for a top-job I am using analog hall-sensors and small magnets, for which the switching-characteristics can be individually programmed.

 

I find reed-switches difficult!

 

I might put a pile of components up for sale soon - including miniature reed-switches, hall-sensors, 16 input I2C ICs, magnets and much more more...

I don't think that Lukasz hangs around here since he got married...

 

He once told me that he was not happy with the switches he used on the Lego box - unreliable and stiff.

 

Button/action mechanism is a tough problem.
