SteveS Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 I've just been to the Horniman web site - I can't see any way of viewing their concertina collection. Does anyone know if the collection is online, and if so, how to find it?
PeterT Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Nightmare! Here is all I can find (just a percentage of the collection): http://www.horniman.ac.uk/collections/browse-our-collections/category/Aerophone/per_page/20/view_as/list/page/6 http://www.horniman.ac.uk/collections/browse-our-collections/category/Aerophone/per_page/20/view_as/list/page/7
sqzbxr Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 There is a page on the Neil Wayne Collection, but no links to the instruments in it: http://www.horniman.ac.uk/collections/the-wayne-collection
SteveS Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 (edited) Thanks Peter - looks like about as much as I found. I recall there was a time when most of the collection was available online, categorised by maker. Here are a small number of instruments from the collection: http://www.horniman.ac.uk/collections/browse-our-collections/keyword/concertina Edit: I found this link in my web browser cache: http://web.archive.org/web/20110701080107/http://www.horniman.ac.uk/music/music/free_reed_index.html This shows many more concertinas.
