scoopet
I've just acquired a 'new' concertina with new red bushings, which I'm not into!! Has anyone successfully changed red bushings to black in situe and if so how's it been done? I was thinking of using black fountain pen ink and a very fine paintbrush but was concerned with the glue (pva?) which is holding the bushings in being compromised...... any help appreciated.... simon

Stephen Chambers
At least the red paint on the ends should dry, but the black fountain pen ink would have been seeping out of the bushing felt forever - you'd have had black buttons and black fingertips... Pete Dunk
Black bushing felt is available, fitting it is hardly rocket science and although it isn't free in the great scheme of things it can hardly be classed as expensive!
