gcoover Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 It doesn't have to be in mint condition (although that would be nice), but must be in tune, A440, good playing condition, etc. MB, ME, maybe 7F bellows. Case not important. Thanks! Gary
Bill N Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 You might contact forum member Ben. He's a nice fellow who often has later Wheatstones, and he's Canadian, which would simplify the transaction. I tried a metal ended Linota of his a few weeks ago that might be just the ticket. It was in very nice shape- 8 fold bellows I think (from South Africa). He's culling the heard in anticipation of some new arrivals

WhidbeyBoatPainter Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 might this be what you have in mind? C. Wheatstone & Co.Model 2A, key of C/G. 30 buttons. Serial #56354 (Nov. 30, 1953). Hexagonal metal ends with red end frames, snazzy red perspex buttons. Steel reeds in aluminum frames, 8-fold black bellows. With new, fitted hard case. from the Button Box website
gcoover Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 Found one! And no, it's not the one with the snazzy Plexiglas buttons, I'll just have to leave that to some other mid-century modernist fan, but it was very tempting! Thanks to all for the help and suggestions. Gary
