david robertson Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 This has been the subject of a full-Monty restoration - new pads, valves, dampers, bushings and straps, bellows re-bound and papered, and woodwork stripped and re-finished in French polish. It has been tuned to modern concert pitch, and has the typical volume and response of a Praed Street Jeffries. I know that Irish players aren't keen to lug around all those buttons that they will never use, but for anyone who likes to play chords, this will give you more choice than you could shake a stick at. And if you like a bit of growl, the low G on the left hand is a whole octave below where you would expect it to be - G2 rather than G3 - and it seems to have been that way from new. I'm based in Norwich. If you'd like to come and have a squeeze, you're very welcome - just drop me a PM, or contact me via my website: www.concertina-restoration.co.uk I'm looking for £4500, but will always consider sensible offers, trade-ins etc. But please, no magic beans...
