Janet Dows
Someone I know is selling it on Craigslist: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/msg/3955253093.html I believe it's an old family instrument, she doesn't play it.
Randy Stein
My EC is also a 1937. The price seems high considering there will be some extensive renovations to be done. rss
Marien
The turtoise shell is rare, and I once played a similar instrument with a very nice tone. I think Jim can confirm that... If she wants to export the turtoise to another country, it may be tricky to get it passed the custom service people..... I don´t know the particular instrument, but the price is about 1000 dollars less than this one: http://www.hobgoblin.com/local/products/48C4785/Wheatstone-48-Key-Aeola-Treble-34407-with-case/ Not wanting to say that the price is low, but you can do a lot restaurations for 1000 dollars, and I didn´t read that it really needs a complete restauration....
