Bill N Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I'm back in Canada after my first visit to England, the golden land of concertinas! Had a wonderful time at the Swaledale Squeeze where i met some lovely folks including a couple of C-netters. Highlights included playing in a big ceili band for a dance in the village hall in Reeth, excellent classes from masterful instructors, and of course the late night sessions. And the YHA food and accomodations were a huge and pleasant surprize! I also attended a session in Ripponden at the Old Bridge Inn, where I was given a very warm welcome (courtesy of an introduction from a C-netter). The calibre of playing was such that i did more listening than playing, but a very enjoyable evening none-the-less. It's a great international fellowship we have going here. Thanks!
