I've been learning this fantastic tune on the anglo for the past few days: The Night Watch

I heard it on an album of renaissance music by Piva (who are great and very nice people): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8vy1uiefng

There's what appears to be an almost exact transcription (for 5 instruments!) here: http://www.townwaits.org.uk/music_index.shtml

It fits incredibly well on an anglo, and I've almost got the bass part going alongside the main melody now (with a bit of shifting between octaves for missing notes). I imagine it'd fit really well on a duet though! :D

Here is a tune we did at the Wartaweil concertina meeting (actually we paired the first reel with another one) It's very nice when played on concertinas! Hope it hasn't come up yet; I've sort of lost track over what happened here recently (for which I apologize).

Edit: Sorry for using ambiguous wording - this is not a video featuring Wartaweil participants, just a video showing a rendition of a tune that was also used in Wartaweil.

That was lovely, thanks for posting. Which player is you?

no, sorry for the misunderstanding - that was not me nor anybody I know playing (I wished but that won't help...) I just found the tune when searching for Sonderhoninger (the name under which the set was made known to us) on Youtube.

But thanks anyways for even considering the possibility that I was involved in that video - already compliment enough... :-)
