Daniel Hersh Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 It's at http://www.ebay.com/itm/370786178832. I'm guessing Jones or Nickolds, but I don't really know.
Alex West Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Daniel I've just finished restoring a very similar one, labelled and stamped as a J Russell of 158 Goswell Road, Clerkenwell but with all the characteristics (action, reed clamps) of a Nickolds Alex West
Alex West Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Given that a Lachenal 20 key anglo went for £360 a week ago, it's got to be worth something! Alex West
Mike Franch Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 I've been rethinking my initial reaction to this instrument. Yes, it is very battered and ugly. But someone or maybe even several owners, have done their best, clearly at minimal expentiture (which I'm imaging was because they couldn't afford more) to keep this instrument playing. Perhaps it gave a little joy to some stark lives. It deserves a loving repair--or to live on with its components in other instruments.
