Warren Fahey Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 my favourite english concertina - an edeophone - has been losing its tuning. I suspect it is only a matter of twiddling with the reed pans but I am not too confident once I open the magic box. Anyone know of anyone in Australia who is repairing ECs ? Both Richard Evans and Malcolm Clapp have retired.
jdms Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Not a helpful response, but the thread title immediately go me thinking "Oh, the hard times of old England / In old England many hard times."
Steve Mansfield Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Might be worth getting in touch with the international Concertina Association to see if they know of anyone down that way ...
Warren Fahey Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 Thanks all - I have emailed Rich and welcomed him back on behalf of tina australis. Chris - when are you going to make an English Concertina ?
Chris Ghent Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I can't see it happening Warren, but there are so many lovely quality Aeolas available for much less than I would need to charge anyway.
