Other than "Tina", do you folks give your concertinas names? If so, what are the names and why?

Do you think that they have a gender?

In my case, I have just bought an 1890s Lachenal Excelsior and I think that I am going to name her Victoria - for the obvious reason.

I recall an old friend whose concertina was called Ruby... but my own do not usually have names, untill very recently when someone here dubbed a little 48 EC that I purchased from him 'The Mean Green Machine'... reason being; it has a green bellows and takes no prisoners!

Another is big and black so it is 'The Big Black'... these names might be better suited to Race hourses I guess.

Don (and others), I think you'd be interested in this old thread.

(In fact, you might want to abandon this one in favor of reactivating and continuing that one.)
