Greg Jowaisas Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 34b C/G Jones anglo with gold stamping on the bellows. Fairly quick and a good player with the warmer sound you would expect from a Jones. It is a bit larger than your typical Lachenal being 6&5/8 inches across the flats. While its volume is healthy I would say it is not as loud as its Lachenal cousins. I've replaced all the valves and pads. I've bushed the fret work button holes and added new springs and additional bushing where necessary. I replaced a piece of fret work on the RH side and refinished the instrument's ends and sides. The bellows are very close to airtight (much work done on the Jones trap door air valve to make this happen) There is some damage to two of the bellows papers and very minor damage to 3-4 more. The instrument has been carefully tuned to A=440 standard pitch. All in all a very servicable instrument good for Irish Trad in small groups or a warm sounding concertina for accompaiment. BTW the two drones on the LH thmb button are C/C and D/D. The other extra buttons are working bird whistle and babty cry. $2000 USD + shipping. Greg
