Chris Ghent Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Does anyone know if the 50,000 series Wheatstone anglos have a modern threadform for their endscrews? 6 or 7 BA perhaps. Cheers Chris
Geoff Wooff Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Hi Chris, I do not think they changed the thread size because I have a 'new' end bolt that was given to me by Steve Dickenson in the early '70's and this fits perfectly in any of my old Wheatstones. Perhaps I am wrong and what I got from Steve was a really new bolt that he had made to the old patern. Cheers, Geoff.
wes williams Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Many years ago I was hunting for an end bolt and and found that the BA series (7BA?) was the nearest match in the standard threads. Its very near, but not exact.
Mike Franch Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 I don't know about anglos, but I have a 1974 Aeola (I think it was the last one completed) and it has two or three different endbolts, at least in terms of where the threading begins on the shaft.
