Does anyone know if the 50,000 series Wheatstone anglos have a modern threadform for their endscrews? 6 or 7 BA perhaps.

Cheers

Hi Chris,

I do not think they changed the thread size because I have a 'new' end bolt that was given to me by Steve Dickenson in the early '70's and this fits perfectly in any of my old Wheatstones.

Perhaps I am wrong and what I got from Steve was a really new bolt that he had made to the old patern.

Cheers,

Geoff.

I don't know about anglos, but I have a 1974 Aeola (I think it was the last one completed) and it has two or three different endbolts, at least in terms of where the threading begins on the shaft.
