Kautilya
Alan Bell opened the Sat morning of the William Irwin Symposium in Eltweraterwith an interesting account of Anne G Gilchrist's work digging out old tunes and how her own work was rediscovered. She was paid for her writings by the Manchester Guardian as Messrs AG Gilchrist.... He sings the Lakeland Fiddler at 10 minutes.(he said he had never sung so early in his life!)
