Pete Dunk Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I've seen a discussion on another forum about a free software package that teaches you how to recognise the notes in a scale once you've been given a reference note to work from. Could be of interest to some members here. I'll be downloading it tonight to give it a go. Ear Training Software
Pete Dunk Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 Just had my first session with the software and I'm very impressed although I can see that I will need lots of practise!
shelly0312 Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 OK I've downloaded it and started my practice. I am a hopeless wretch without written dots. (But I look back and did terrible memorizing correct spelling for microbiology too.) I'm hoping this will somehow miraculously stimulate my brain cells I figure any exposure to note relationships can only be a good thing for me! Thanks Tallship.
cboody Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Thanks Tallship, As a one time guru in the area of ear training software I was very happy to see this interesting approach. Useful and valid I think. Chuck Boody
