Burnham_Bob Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 In 1972 I bought an english concertina from an antique shop. I played a lot of folk clubs in those days and wanted to add to my repertoire. It needed some minor repairs so on the recommendation of an acquaintance called Bernard Wrigley who played concertina I took it into Crabb on Liverpool Road London. Cost was minimal but they were scathing about the fact that it had four fold bellows. Anyway, the then missus wanted a car so I sold it for £25. It came with its own wooden case, had wooden ends and green leather bellows. I see a lot that look quite like it but the buttons on mine were different. They were metal and mostly silver although the C buttins were gold. Does this ring any bells with anyone? Of course now I want to take it up again I'm sorry I sold it.
