can't discern if it's a chromatico, or a rare c-system bando, or a curtailed bisonoric of some sort.....any thoughts?

definitely not a bandoneon though looks like it is in good condition ELA instruments are made by the father of Alfred Arnold - generally very good. Bandoneons have 6 rows with 8 buttons on the bottom row on right and 4 on the top in a rhomboid shape. This could be a chemitzer

It's not a standard Chemnitzer or Carlsfelder/Karlsfelder - too many buttons. I thought that it might be some sort of expanded Chemnitzer but full-size Chemnitzers usually have four rows on the left hand and three on the right and this is the other way around. It could conceivably be an expanded Carlsfelder of some kind. Perhaps Harry Geuns will weigh in on this - he might know.

That having been said, I always thought that an Einheitskonzertina had four rows on each side, based on this diagram. I e-mailed Harry again to ask about this but have not heard back yet.
