Ptarmigan Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Hey, you just never know when you are going to bump into an English Concertina player, do you? At least, over here in Ireland, you certainly don't come across them very often. So, imagine my surprise yesterday, after arriving at the Derrygonnelly festival in deepest Fermanagh, when the very first person I spoke to when I arrived, was a lady on holiday from Australia who played ... the English Concertina! Then, to my surprise, I found that John Leavy was there too, with his wife. I must say, I was delighted to find that John, who lives in Scotland & is on my wee list, can fairly twhack out the Irish Music on his English instrument. Cheers Dick
