Hi, Dudge,

And welcome to the Forum! Nice to hear from somebody from Belfast, where I mis-spent my youth playing a cheap East German concertina bought at Matchetts! :)

I might be interested in your Lachenal. What exactly do you mean by "excellent condition?"

Is it tuned to A=440 concert pitch?

Is the bellows airtight?

Are all notes free of choking noises and buzzes?

Have you played it yourself until now, and did you have any issues like sticking buttons or pads not closing properly (i.e. "ghost notes sounding on when a button is released)?

Has it been refurbished in recent years?

Is the overall cosmetic condition as good as the bits you can see in your photo?

Questions, questions! But they're a sign of genuine interest ...;)

Cheers,

John

Hello John,

Thanks for your interest.

In response to your questions:

It is tuned to 440 concert pitch.

The bellows are airtight.

The notes have a good tone without buzzes.

I played it very happily for around 18months.

I did have an issue with a sticky button, but had this repaired.

The photo was taken the day i posted the first post - it is still in this condition, good cosmetically all round.

There are great tunes in Belfast these days - have you played there recently?
