Hi all,

I just want to tell you what a great job Greg did on my new concertina. About 6 months ago I received my long awaited(4 years and 20 days) Suttner. Considering the price, it was a good instrument but I knew it should have be set up better. It had some issues. I was not happy. :( Because of non returned emails there was no way it was being sent back to Germany! Greg worked on the tuning, some key/lever/valve noise, spring tension, and response of the lower reeds. What a difference! :) It is now up to its potential(the way it should have been!)

What I really like about Greg besides his expert repair skills is his communication skills! I emailed Greg, and received a phone call back very quickly. He took the time to discuss my concerns. It is not easy to send off your instrument, sort of like sending off your kid to college. I decided to send him my new instrument and I'm glad I did. He emailed me when it arrived and took a few days to examine the instrument over carefully. He called me to discuss solutions to the issues the concertina had, and also offered some ideas of his own to take this instrument up to it's full potential. He emailed me regularly to update me on the progress of the repair. He called me when it was done and shipped it back to me on time.

I would not hesitate to send Greg any instrument of any caliber. If you think your instrument has not reached it's full playing potential I would send it off to Greg. He did a fantastic job on my instrument and I know he could do the same for yours.

Thanks again to Greg!

I'll be there, for the first time in 5 years, thanks to a lighter than usual MOrris schedule.

Greg is a whiz. He vastly improved my finicky Lachenal/Dipper C/G, which is no longer finicky, and this spring he built a new bellows for my Jeffries G/D. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out; incredible improvement in playability, and looks great, too.

Sorry to hear about how Suttner shipped your concertina, but I've heard these stories before - and some about Dippers that arrived with sticking buttons and other problems. Glad, and not surprised, that Greg was able to get it into shape.
