Simon H Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Spotted on melodeon.net The Elphinstone Institute at Aberdeen University is hosting another 'Button Box & Moothies' Event on 11th - 13th of November 2011. A great event, can't wait. Simon
davidcorner Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 The Button Box & Moothies Convention in 11-13 November 2011 is listed in the TMSA event calender, but there's nothing yet on the Elphinstone Institute's own website. Someone I spoke to at Keith Festival earlier this month mentioned that he would be at a meeting concerning the Convention the following week. The previous Convention four years ago was already organised by the time of the Keith Festival that year, in fact, the Institute's director Ian Russell handed me a flyer at the Festival. Keep an eye on the website for when they make an official announcement.
Alex West Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 It's definitely happening - I attended a meeting of the planning committee earlier this week and Ian has some good guests lined up, bracketed by a seminar, sessions, concerts and workshops. This event is only held every 4 years and this year is extra special as it's Ian Russell's final year as Director of the Elphinstone Institute and professor at Aberdeen University If anyone is interested, by all means be in touch and that will give Ian and the committee the incentive to lay on some even more special events.
