Ptarmigan Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Hey Leo, that Alena & Liam video was simply delightful. Now if only I'd started playing when I was just a little younger. Cheers Dick
gcoover Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Leo, the one from Canada with Piet Visser actually belongs in the South Africa category. And the one from the movie should be in a new "lip-sync" category! Funny how a cheap 20-key anglo can sound like a piano accordion and a full orchestra, or.........maybe it's an early midi-concertina?!? Thanks so much for trolling YouTube every week for these gems! Gary
Leo Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 Much appreciated, as always! Mark Hi Mark Thanks. If you're a member of YouTube, be sure to mention it on their video since it's their hard work for our enjoyment Hey Leo, that Alena & Liam video was simply delightful. Now if only I'd started playing when I was just a little younger. Cheers Dick Hi Dick Kids are my favorite. They do such nice work. I did start about that age, but gave it up and went on to other things after a very short while. I'd have to go a loooooong waaaay baaaaack to pick up where I left off. Isn't hindsight wonderful Leo, the one from Canada with Piet Visser actually belongs in the South Africa category. And the one from the movie should be in a new "lip-sync" category! Gary Hi Gary Isn't the internet wonderful like that. An explanation. He actually thinks he lives in or is posting from Canada. I'm open to suggestions to come up with a better way. http://www.concertina.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=12012&view=findpost&p=118523 There is a post for lip sync in the movies. It/they are titled "Concertina Sightings" where you'll find lots of wonderful gems like that. Very few are actually playing, but at least a concertina is thought of. Truth be told, I actually enjoy looking them up too. Thanks Leo
