Chris Drinkwater Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Well, someone had to come up with an invention to do away with the human aspect of playing the concertina. See . Chris
Hereward Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 The mind boggles. My level of playing is easily replaced by a machine but someone who can actually do this instrument justice probably isn't (at least I hope not).
Geoff Wooff Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Looks better than some that play on Youtube. Don't know about the music but then again I've heard worse from some humans.
cnrobinson Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I would have been more impressed if it had rattled off some widdly diddly stuff. It sounds like it is playing notes at random, and then getting some wrong! I don't see a great demand for this. Chris
Ransom Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I suspect that's more because you don't appreciate Iranian music than because the arranger didn't know what he was doing. Listen to the song in a few other versions, then say which notes you think it got wrong. =) Version B
cnrobinson Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Well, I played it to an Iranian friend of mine and he wasn't impressed. He pointed me to another version on YouTube which was (in his opinion) much better. Clever, though, programming the 'machine'. Chris
Kautilya Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 (edited) Well, someone had to come up with an invention to do away with the human aspect of playing the concertina. See . Chris I thought you were looking a bit Dale(a)ky when I last saw you. Last week I bought an electronic acoustic converter which will work with tinas, melodeons, accordions, indeed most instruments, but have not had time to do initial experiments. But you will be the first to be aurally tortured with them  Edited April 9, 2011 by Kautilya
