RatFace Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 It's the first tune on the second set of Dr Faustus' First Cut, if that helps...

Thanks Ratface ,this used to be a very well known tune and more of a party dance with a whistle blowing at some point through the dance everyone stopping and then three beats (how I start it) and away goes the dance again.Almost like Musical Chairs. It's thirty or more years since I played it and saw it danced. A great tune though. Al

Pretty much same version (with fewer frills!) that I learnt long ago at a Boat Band workshop on Cheshire Tunes. They pair it with Nantwich Fair. Edited March 21, 2011 by spindizzy

Al Nice to hear you playing (and very well too :-) ) I hardly ever get to play that set now, since no -one round here seems to know them (or they don't like them enough to join in - which I refuse to believe) I'll dig out my ABC, if I have it still.
