I read an article on this yesterday in The Mail. Neuroscientist Charlotte Stagg ( report in Current Biology) used volunteers to learn sequences of finger motions. on a pad of buttons ( sounds familiar)!

 

MRI scans were used and levels of GABA in the motor cortex were measured., the MC deals with what we do . It works as an inhibitor and high levels of GABA can slow learning. Low levels free us up.

 

can you get GABA inhibiting tablets?!!B)
