Bill N Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 I just signed up for the North East Concertina Workshop, and in Googling around about Greenfield Mass., discovered that there is long running Contra Dance there on the Fri night. Is this something workshop participants go to? I've arrived on the Fri. evening before, and after the (very interesting) Morse workshop tour and a gawk at the Button Box inventory, there hasn't seemed to be much to do. Any advice on sessions, the contra dance (will have the long-suffering Mrs. with me), etc. would be appreciated. After the long drive, I want to pack in as much as possible!
Ken_Coles Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 I can't go this year, but when I lived in Mass. this was a great! dance. So big you never see the same partners twice (which isn't always good if you are unaccompanied and trying to get to know folks). Well worth a detour, some pretty big names play the music. Ken
