Chris Timson Posted June 21, 2004 Share Posted June 21, 2004 Hi, This is to let people know that Pete 'Stormy' Hyde has a new web site - I am hosting it at http://www.concertina.info/hydeaccordions/. The connection with concertinas is twofold: SFAIK Pete is the only melodeon maker I know of whose first instrument is the anglo concertina, also concertinas have heavily infuenced some of Pete's designs, in particular the Flutina (which has a concertina-style reed pan) and the Melotina, which combines this with a layout derived from the 20 button anglo. Also, of course, there is the Anglodeon, which Pete is developing for me as a 30-button Jeffries G/D implemented as a melodeon with melodeon basses. Well, the "Hyde Accordions" title reminds me of my old T-shirt from Concrtina & Squeezebox magazine, with the warning, "Hide the children. Accordions ahead."
