Lawrence Reeves Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 I am copying the information out there so far. I personally had a great time and met many wonderful friends over the years during the Eigse Mrs. Crotty, and on other trips through Kilrush. I am happy to see the new festival doing well in its third year. Festival of traditional music, classes & sessions and set dancing classes and ceili's. On Wednesday a Seisiun at Teach Cheoil Kilrush takes place at 9pm, followed on Thursday by a singers club at the Haven Arms, 10pm. On Friday music classes at the Adult Education Centre take place from 10am-1pm, with set dancing class at Teach Cheoil from 1-4pm. There is a musical boat trip to Scattery Island at 3pm with official opening of the festival taking place at 6.45pm in the Square followed by open air ceili with Johnny Reidy Ceili Band. This is followed by a session in the town bars. On Saturday more music classes and set dancing classes take place and there will be a free open air ceili in the square from 3-6pm. The Gala Concert takes place that evening followed again by a session in the town bars. On Sunday enjoy a session at the Vandeleur Walled Gardens from 3-5pm, followed by a free open air ceili in the square with the five Counties Ceili Band, followed by another session in the town bars.
