chrisstevens Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 (edited) Got my new concertina by Wally Carroll a few weeks ago, and it is one absolutely fabulous instrument. Every bit as good as (dare I say superior to) other handmade concertinas out there (i.e. Dipper, Suttner, etc.) Lovely tone, volume, fast action, creative engineering. Well done Wally! david_boveri Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 well played! i love the smaller models that carroll concertinas makes. the first time i played one, i almost put myself on the list again! best of luck with your new concertina,
David Levine Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Gorgeous playing. Thanks for posting. I'm selling Wally Carroll #23, which is also a beautiful concertina. Carrolls sound very much like vintage Wheatstones. They have great volume and clarity. They also have a sweetness that Jeffries often lack, without the screech that some antique Jeffries seem to have.
michael sam wild Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Nice instrument and playing. That web site looks useful for video. Are the reeds hand made or accordion reeds? It has a great sound.

Michael Eskin Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 I agree, I wouldn't trade my Carroll for any other instrument.
