MarkvN Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Hi, Intrigued by the playing of the famous Peter Bellamy I was just about to ask this forum if there really doesn't exist any footage of him talking and/or playing – when there it is! A 10-minute interview in his living room, in front of a massive wall of music casettes, covering about every kind of music imaginable, and the man himself singing and playing two songs ! Essential stuff, I guess!? (But do not have too high an expectation of the recording quality ...) (interview) (playing and singing) Cheers, Mark

michael sam wild Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Thanks for the link , it's an important document. Peter had a phenomenal set of influences and knowledge.
MarkvN Posted October 20, 2010 Author Posted October 20, 2010 I had a closer look at the way Peter Bellamy plays the concertina. He had such a peculiar – as in 'unique' – style. Would it be blasphellamy to suggest that there might be traces of a harmonica there, especially in the second song – sometimes reminiscent to, say, Bob Dylan? And, he doesn't seem to have much use for the air button. Mark
