Bill Crossland Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 (edited) A newly restored 26 key Lachenal Anglo, tuned to modern concert pitch in C/G, serial number 195,982 The original mahogany ends on this instrument were badly damaged, and have been replaced with new laser cut rosewood ends and bushed metal buttons, quitening the usual Lachenal action clatter. It also has a new set of David Leese 6 fold, separate card bellows. New handstraps and handstrap screws and inside, repadded and revalved. This one is steel reeded, quick to sound with a good volume and tone. A very decent antique instrument, excellent for beginners wanting an affordable 26 key anglo in the most popular tuning of C/G – much more versatile than a 20 key and cheaper than a 30! Please feel free to contact me or if you are in the area to call in and play it, or email me for more pictures or a soundfile - billconcertina@btinternet.com This instrument is now sold - thanks to those of you who expressed and interest. A donation to Cnet is on its way. Edited October 13, 2010 by Billcro
