And now, for the musician who has (almost) everything, it's the whole-body squeezebox.

See it here.

What I'd like to know is, is it an English or a Duet? It can't possibly be an anglo since he's playing classical music on it. ;)

Thanks for sharing, Mark! When I got done wiping the tears of laughter from my eyes I was left to ponder why the rest of us even bother to try. Great!

I can't see it. It seems to require a plug-in that I don't have and my browser can't find. If it's a still picture, could someone please capture it and send it to me in gif format?

Thanx.

I have the same problem as David (and I expect more of us will have), so maybe it is better to capture and post a gif to the forum.

Added later: I discovered it is a video located at: http://media.hugi.is/hahradi/fyndnar/maestro_1.wmv

It 's a far as I could see (through my tears of laughter!) a French type, without any wriststraps (so probably not an anglo) but full of scattered accidentals :D :D :D

Wonderful stuff.

Can't be an anglo though, same note for the same button (horn) every time so not bisonic(!?).

What a terrific idea for a morris single jig!

Hmm. If each bulb produced one note when it was squeezed and another when it was released, imagine the contortions that would be needed to sound release-notes only at the right times. :P

Why not a double jig? Or even a chorus line, doing full orchestral arrangements!

Maybe this can be worked into a variation of the old game "Twister" we all played as kids - a real contact sport! It could make for some vary interesting combos.

Your next move has to sound the next note -- on either your body or someone else's -- of a melody chosen in advance? :)

Oh this is sooo funny. Thanks Henk, I couldn't get it the first connection. Well I have a very slow server, but boy was this worth the wait.

This is so frustrating! It's obviously a lot of fun, but I still can't get it. I spent 20 minutes downloading the .wmv file only to discover that wmv stands for Windows Media Video, and I don't do Windows. If anybody sees a way to make it accessible (QuickTime?), please let me know. Otherwise I'll try it on the Windows box at work when I return Monday.

Oddly enough, Microsoft makes a "Windows Media Player" for Macs. The OS X version is a free 7.0 MB download. It worked exactly as advertised with my Apple Safari browser ... no restart was needed.

After the install, I clicked the link in Henk's post (the fourth in this thread). There was a pause of several seconds, during which I saw only a white screen. But then the download began, and it played automatically upon completion.
