An anecdote

I was relaying the story tonight of The lark in the morning store in Pike place market which went out of business and

is now occupied by a Hat store.

 

It was a Nice place to see both strange & ethnic instruments, fairly nice list of videos and books for all kinds of

instruments. Terrible knowledge of concertinas.

 

At the time there were 2 small wood ended English concertinas in the display case

that I asked about.

I remember being in there and seeing some wooden flutes in glass showcases, illuminated by very hot, bright lights.

But I've seen the same thing in Powell's Music, in Galway, and they certainly should know better. .

Perhaps they meant that the ages added together were over 200 years old;-}
