Moby Dick, 1956, with Richard Basehart.

 

English 'tina in the tavern, playing A'roving, and it looked like it was actually being played!

I believe the story of that clip has been related before, but to recap - the player was Alf Edwards, so it is true that he appeared to be genuinely playing the instrument. however, there is a story (I am not sure how true it is) that because of other sounds around the studio, including technical equipment such as the cameras, the actual sound was interfering with a 'clean' soundtrack. therefore the reeds were removed, and the concertina 'played' silently. The actual sound was dubbed on from the same player afterwards.
