Wheatstone Aeola extended tenor concertina 31393

Recommended Posts

Hi there

I need to put my concertina on the household music insurance policy and wondered if anyone could give me a rough valuation for my instrument please for insurance purposes only (not going to sell it cos I LOVE playing it too much!).

- excellent condition

- perfectly in tune/concert pitch

- metal ends

Many thanks

According to the Wheatstone concertina ledgers, no. 31393 is actually a model 15, a sixty two key baritone-treble, made in 1927. It originally had wrist straps, key valve and nickel-plated ends. A 64 key Aeola baritone-treble, was advertised on C.net a couple of years ago and eventually sold for £4000, so that gives you some idea of your concertina's potential current value. You have a lovely and very desirable concertina. :) No wonder you don't want to sell it!
