Alan Day Posted June 8, 2010 Author Posted June 8, 2010 Here is another Morris tune this time on my GD box played in a similar style to Jockey to the Fair Al I know this as "Queen's Delight" and play it after "the Banks of the Dee" Thanks for the name I was looking through Morris Tunes yesterday to find out what it was called. It's years since I played for the Broadwood Morris Men, but these little tunes are lodged in the memory. Al
michael sam wild Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 We had a session last night with Sheffield Morris and some old members after their practice and it's amazing how tunes from dances we did in the 70s popped out as though it were yesterday Whereas the new tunes I actually worked on yesterday ....well! It's no wonder that collectors wait till their informants are nearly past it to get their memories down.
