tomlaw90
Some time ago I asked Frank Edgley to make an A/E concertina for me. It was a long wait, but it was well worth it! I just got it last Wednesday and haven't been able to put it down. I asked for an A/E tuning because I have become really enamored of the sound of low concertinas and flat pipes. Something about the key of B just really makes me happy. Anyhow, this concertina is a beauty! I have posted a web site containing lots of pictures and audio files. Have a look! http://concertinatom.com/edgley/EdgleyAE.htm A teaser: Tom Lawrence Edited September 2, 2004 by tomlaw90
Stephen Mills
Stunningly gorgeous, Tom. What is the wood on that? It reminds me of the cocabola on the sides and back of my sprucetop guitar. Frank Edgley uses cocabola, but looking over his site, some other wood seems more likely. Absolutely beautiful in any case.

tomlaw90
Y'all are too kind! I'm glad you like my playing; I was afraid it wasn't up to snuff. (You see, when I listen, the only thing I can hear are the mistakes ) Lisa, I'm honored to be on your play list. Stephen, the wood is curly maple. And the pictures only show the half of it, it's even more stunning in person! Tom Lawrence Edited May 25, 2004 by tomlaw90
