Frank Edgley Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 For anyone interested, I have a new design for my line of concertinas: The wooden-ended "Tree of Life" design. It can be viewed at http://edgleyconcertinas.blogspot.com .
michael sam wild Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Lovely, did you design it, how is it cut? I'm fascinated by all the modern technology.
Dan Worrall Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Frank, I was able to play one of Sean O'Dwyer's Edgley concertinas last week in Dublin (see the picture in the Sean O'Dwyer CD thread)...it is a lovely instrument. Sean certainly thinks so as well! Dan
Frank Edgley Posted September 8, 2010 Author Posted September 8, 2010 Lovely, did you design it, how is it cut? I'm fascinated by all the modern technology. Thw design is cut using laser technology. I am working on two similar instruments for customers at the moment. One in pau ferro, and one in oak. I have an Indian rosewood instrument prepped, in case someone wants it.
david fabre Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 I am working on two similar instruments for customers at the moment. And one of these will be for me
david fabre Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Good news ! If you have time for this I'd love to see photos of my instrument during construction...
Frank Edgley Posted September 22, 2010 Author Posted September 22, 2010 A bit late for construction photos---it's almost ready for tuning.
david fabre Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 So it should arrive even earlier than what I expected ! fantastic !
